I got the Vampyre blues
Y’know I grew up too fast
Now when the spring comes around
I see the leaves falling down
well I got perpetual night
and I got second sight
& I’m afraid of the dark
but I’m scared of the light
I’ve got the Vampyre blues
Y’know I sleep with the rats
but they’re the size of cats
and I dream too much
cos I long for your touch
I’ve got the Vampyre blues
I was born out at sea
I can hear the storm outside
but it’s the moon that’s killing me
It’s killing me
Yeah the Vampyre blues
you know I sleep in the dark
and when the stakes are high
I get a pain in my heart
Well the villages all around
They are empty of all life
but I’ve got to stick to my path
If I’m going to find a Vampyre wife
but I’ll never settle down
If I can’t take her underground
well have you heard the news?
"479" is a band formed by the owl Potoo (bass), the fox Valentino Arco (synth), a guy named Hall (noise and sweets) and this album's star Rogelia - a pink-haired girl on drums. You don't believe it? Well, me too, but legend has it. Call it "479", son of "thebeachmachine", Danny Playamaqui, Danny Perez, or whatever you want... it's excellent stuff - some of the most exciting electronica avantgarde on the planet. Sven B.
