This song inspires me to dig up vinyl of classic rock gods and draw routes. I don't think Dan minds, if I'm to take him correctly. He has honed his style from an amalgam of influences, not some spirit. It makes for an interesting dive because you don't write anything off. There's a reason for everything in it. That's why I love his music. It's damn deliberate.

about
Sweet melodic and catchy like a 1960s sunshine pop 45 with chiming guitars and west coast drums.
The chorus takes the song in a darker direction.
lyrics
Jesus ain’t coming back
rain was running
down my back
i had my collar up
and my hat pulled down
just staring up
the railway track
just hanging around
at the lost & found
in the rain
i heard someone say
i am the way
i looked up into
the mother sky
but jesus he ain’t
coming back
and i know because
he tells me so
again/ over again
Jesus he ain’t coming back !
